Marketing skills grow when you make decisions, explain your reasoning, and get useful feedback. But most people only get that loop on live work, where the cost of a weak choice is higher and the feedback can arrive too late.

ChatGPT can create realistic practice scenarios. It can give you a messy brief, ask you to make a recommendation and then critique your thinking like a senior marketer would. The value is not the fake scenario. It is the decision-making rep.

Try this prompt:

Create a realistic marketing challenge for me to solve.

My role or skill level: [describe]
The skill I want to practice: [strategy, messaging, campaign planning, analysis, positioning, etc.]
Industry or audience: [optional]

Give me:
1. A short business context.
2. A clear marketing problem.
3. A few constraints or trade-offs.
4. The information a marketer would realistically have.
5. The decision I need to make.

Do not give me the answer yet.

After I respond, review my answer like a senior marketing director. Tell me what was strong, what I missed, what assumptions I made and how I could improve my decision.

Use AI to practice the thinking, not just produce the answer.

Happy prompting!
