An old webinar, guide, or campaign asset may have more to offer than its original brief asked of it.

→ A webinar built to introduce a topic might contain the examples someone needs to compare two approaches.

→ A guide written to explain a process might help readers spot where their own process is breaking down.

→ A campaign built around one customer objection might contain the language for a piece that helps buyers work through their doubts.

The useful question is what the content could do next. ChatGPT can examine the asset, find the material that still has value, and suggest new directions. You decide which direction fits your audience and whether the source material can support it.

Try this with one asset you haven’t used in a while:

I want to find a second life for this marketing asset.

Here is the asset: [paste the content or attach the file]
It was originally made for: [audience and purpose]
My current audience and priorities are: [brief context]

Read the asset and suggest three different jobs its ideas could do now. For example, it might help someone choose between options, practise a skill, diagnose a problem, or prepare for a decision.

For each suggestion, explain which specific parts of the asset make it possible, what would need to be updated or added, and what the finished piece might look like. Focus on a new purpose, not a new format or channel. Flag anything in the asset that may be dated or needs checking.

Recommend the strongest direction, but make clear what I need to verify before using it.

Look for a suggestion that gives the original material a reason to exist again. If it depends mostly on new research or a new idea, you may be better off starting fresh.

Want a reusable Skill for this?

The Asset Second Life Skill is available to PRO readers. It turns the exercise into a repeatable process and produces an adaptation brief for the direction you choose.

Happy prompting!

It's time to set up your holiday streaming campaign

Are you ready to reach holiday shoppers on CTV? For many streamers, the season is already underway.

Last year, according to Roku internal data, holiday content searches on Roku saw an 86% increase during October. And in November, those searches rise an average of 39% weekly. This surging holiday spirit is mirrored by consumer activity, as about half of Roku streamers shopped Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in 2025.

Meeting those shoppers is easier than you might think. Begin with the seasonal outcome you hope to drive: awareness, online sales, leads, store visits, or another measurable goal. From there, define your audience, upload your creative, set the budget and campaign dates, and establish measurement before launching. You can even create a shoppable ad unit that lets streamers buy with a click of their remote.

Our holiday playbook offers a month-by-month guide to reaching shoppers during this all-important time of year.

First-time spenders get a $5,000 match on the first $5,000 spent with code BEEHIIV5K. Terms apply.
