When you review this year’s marketing, consider what might happen if you stopped doing each activity. Would you lose a source of meaningful results, or free up time without much consequence?

Take a webinar series that drew a decent crowd every month. Attendance alone is not a reason to keep it. Look at who attended, whether those people took a useful next step, and what the series cost to produce. If it helped existing customers get more from your product, that counts too. The point is to check what the work contributed, rather than rely on how busy or successful it looked.

AI can help you review several activities against the same questions. Give it your goals, results, and the time and money spent on each activity. Add what you know from customers and sales, including evidence that does not appear in a dashboard.

I’m deciding what marketing work to stop next year. Our goals were [goals], and our results were [results]. Here are the main activities we ran, with their purpose, time and cost, performance, and relevant customer or sales feedback: [details].

Which activities would you examine as candidates to stop? For each, explain what it appears to have contributed, what the evidence cannot tell us, and what we would risk losing. Prioritize the activities that took substantial resources without a clear contribution. Suggest one practical check that would help us decide whether to stop each one.

The output should give you a shortlist to investigate, not a verdict. Start with the work that costs the most and has the weakest case for continuing.

Happy prompting!

The AI notetaker that gets the hard words right

Your AI is only as good as what you feed it. Feed it a transcript with your product names, acronyms, and numbers spelled wrong, and you spend the afternoon hand-fixing the output.

Wispr Flow Notetaker uses your dictionary and calendar, so product names, acronyms, numbers, and uncommon names come out spelled right. It pops up when your meeting starts and captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles with one click, no bot joining the call.

Then your meetings show up inside Claude or ChatGPT through the built-in connector. No copy paste. Try Notetaker free on Mac and Windows.
