Most teams either use one generic CTA for all traffic, or they rewrite entire pieces three times for different audiences. Both waste time and leave conversions on the table.
Here's a better way: keep your core content, and let ChatGPT generate stage-specific CTAs in one shot.
Try this prompt:
You are a conversion copywriter. I need 3 CTA variations for the same piece of content, aligned to funnel stage.
Content summary: [brief description of your blog post, email, or landing page]
Generate CTAs for:
- COLD (awareness stage): Low-commitment, educational next step
- WARM (consideration stage): Deeper engagement, shows clear value
- HOT (decision stage): Direct conversion ask with urgency or incentive
For each CTA:
- Write the button/link text (under 6 words)
- Write 1 supporting line (under 15 words)
- Suggest where to use it (email, ad, landing page block, etc.)
Keep the tone confident and action-focused.
Happy prompting!

By the way, if you’re interested in using ChatGPT as a thinking partner, you should take a look at my new book:
Smart Marketers Think First is a practical guide to reclaiming your most valuable asset: your perspective. This isn't a book about prompts or "hacks". It’s a framework for high-level decision-making. It introduces Nine Modes of Thinking — specific lenses that turn ChatGPT from a content generator into a world-class sounding board.
AI is changing how we work. Don't let it change how you think. Protect the part that matters most.
