Most non-buyers get dumped into your generic newsletter or ignored completely. But they're not cold leads, they're warm prospects who almost said yes.
They just need a different approach.
ChatGPT can map a nurture sequence that addresses why they didn't buy and keeps them engaged until they're ready.
Try this prompt:
You are a customer lifecycle strategist. I need a nurture path for people who didn't buy after engaging with my offer.
Segment non-buyers by likely reason:
- Price concerns
- Bad timing
- Confusion about fit or value
- Trust or credibility gaps
For each segment, create a 4-touch nurture sequence that includes:
1. Touch type (email, content, case study, etc.)
2. Core message or angle
3. Goal of the touch (educate, build trust, address objection)
4. Timing between touches
Context:
- My offer: [your product/service]
- Target audience: [brief description]
- Main objections you've heard: [list any known concerns]
Keep the sequence patient and educational — not pushy. Focus on future readiness, not immediate conversion.
Happy prompting!

By the way, if you’re interested in using ChatGPT as a thinking partner, you should take a look at my new book:
Smart Marketers Think First is a practical guide to reclaiming your most valuable asset: your perspective. This isn't a book about prompts or "hacks". It’s a framework for high-level decision-making. It introduces Nine Modes of Thinking — specific lenses that turn ChatGPT from a content generator into a world-class sounding board.
AI is changing how we work. Don't let it change how you think. Protect the part that matters most.
