Use AI to Analyse Your Marketing Results

Smart marketers don’t use AI as a summary bot.

Most marketers use AI like a summary bot:
“Here’s what happened.”

But smart marketers use AI like a strategist:
“What does it mean and what should we do next?”

In one sitting, ChatGPT can help you:
⇢ Identify key insights
⇢ Spot patterns and trends
⇢ Summarise results for stakeholders
⇢ Recommend next steps

Here’s how:

Step 1 – Gather your data

You don’t need a perfect spreadsheet.

Just copy/paste or download your performance highlights—metrics from Meta, Google Analytics, email, social, or wherever you track results.

Anything with structure (tables, lists, labelled numbers) will work.

Step 2 – Add business context

Tell ChatGPT what it can’t know from the numbers alone:

  • What your goals were

  • What success looked like

  • Which channels, campaigns, or KPIs mattered most

  • Any changes that might’ve impacted results (budget, strategy, creative, etc.)

You can write this out as bullet points or a short paragraph—whatever’s fastest.

Step 3 – Prompt ChatGPT to be your analyst

Use this prompt:

You are a senior marketing analyst. Based on the performance data and business context below, identify the most important insights. Avoid repeating numbers—focus on what the data actually tells us.
Output format:
1. 3–5 key insights
2. Patterns or trends worth noting
3. Suggested next steps or optimisations
4. Limitations or questions to explore further

Here’s the context and data:

BONUS - Get ChatGPT to create visuals

Just use this prompt:

Based on your analysis, can you create 1–2 compelling visuals that highlight the most important insights? Prioritise visuals that would be impactful in a stakeholder report or presentation. Include clear titles, labels, and callouts if relevant.

Stop summarising. Start interpreting.

Happy prompting!
